Salvation

How to Be Saved

An image clicked during one of the Salvation sessions at Shiloh Baptist church

God loves you and wants you to have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus, His Son. He is waiting to receive you with mercy and love, with open arms, and ready to forgive you for all your sins.

RECOGNIZE:

The Bible tells us that we are all sinners. We must first recognize this truth. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 3:23

CONFESS:

The Bible says, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

Romans 10:9-10

trust:

Trusting in Jesus' sacrifice for you is the only way to find forgiveness from God and to begin a relationship with Him. To do that simply talk to God (pray) and tell Him you believe in His Son. Pray this prayer:

pray:

Dear God, I’m a sinner. I’m sorry for my sins and the life I have lived. I want to turn from my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ died for me on the cross at Calvary and that 3 days later, He rose from the grave. I confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me and change me so that I can live for You for the rest of my life. Thank You for saving me and for giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Take the Next Step!

Baptism:

We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit; to show forth in a solemn and beautiful picture, our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, with its effect, in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life; and that baptism is the visible sign of membership in the Body of Christ.

Serve

Christ came to serve, not to be served. At Shiloh we aim to model that by doing our part in the body of Christ. To learn more about how and where you can serve click the opportunities button below.
