“And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,”
Says the LORD of hosts,” Malachi 3:12 (NKJV)
v. 12 Despite the fact that His people have robbed God by not giving Him all the tithes that the law required if their repentant hearts will not cause them to reverse this and ‘bring all the tithes into the storehouse’, the blessings of God will be boundless and generous. Not only will His people receive blessing upon blessing, but He will defend them and make them fruitful so that other nations will call them blessed and the land will become ‘a delightful land’, (Malachi 3:12, NKJV).
Years ago a young man began a small cheese business in Chicago. He failed. He was deeply in debt. “You didn’t take God into your business. You have not worked with Him,” said a Christian friend to him. Then the young man thought, “If God wants to run the cheese business, He can do it, and I’ll work for Him and with Him!” From that moment, God became the senior partner in his business. The business grew and prospered and became the largest cheese concern in the world! That young man, J.L. Kraft became president of the Kraft Cheese Company! (Encyclopedia of Illustrations #1854).
Dear Heavenly Father, I have set aside the sacred portion from my income as you commanded me, and I have given it to your Store House according to your will. I have not turned aside from your commands, nor have I forgotten any of them; I have obeyed the Lord my God and I give freely and cheerfully.
How do you feel after you tithe? Is it a feeling of relieve, satisfaction?
Gratefulness to God, cheerfulness that you gave to God, or what?
Do you tithe or tip God? Read/study Scripture before you answer?
