Dear Prayer Warriors,
The 40 Days of
Prayer Campaign under the leadership of Minister Yolanda
Giles has proven to be more powerful than any of us could
imagine. We thank God for giving Pastor Lee Earl such a
vision for His people.
After much prayer, God
put together a team of 30 people to jumpstart this campaign
and everyone has been on one accord. However, we didn’t
get where we are without a fight from the adversary and
everyone has been affected because of the great blessing
that was about to take place. Our journey started with three
people praying in the sanctuary to prepare it for what was
about to take place. On September 1st we started our 40
Days of Prayer and consecration around the clock with the
following calendar agenda:
First
Week: Examine Your Heart
Second Week: Examine Yourself
Third Week: Completely Submit
to God
Fourth Week: Make Sacrifices
to God
Fifth Week: Exalt God as
the Reason
Sixth Week: Develop a Stronger
Relationship with God
Seventh Week: Move Into
Your Next Level
515 people, both
in and outside the walls of Shiloh chose an hour of prayer
each day for 40 days and entered into prayer and consecration.
It was amazing to see so many people lined up to sign-up
for an hour of prayer. People really do understand and know
that prayer changes things. Every day during our hour of
prayer, we focused on the following: the theme for the week,
scriptures given, Shiloh ministries and tribes, and daily
reading from the “40
Days To A Life of G.O.L.D. (God Ordained Life Development),”
by Ed Gray.
On the first Sunday
in September, we held a 6:00 a.m. prayer service in the
sanctuary and the Lord truly blessed with prophecy, testimonies,
praise and worship. Sunrise prayer service will continue
every Sunday during the 40 Days of Prayer.
Our Pastor also
assigned various ministers to speak each Wednesday night
with references from Ed Gray’s book. The format was
changed from a Bible study to a worship service. God truly
blessed. On the first night, there was an overwhelming response
– standing room only!
We entered into
our prayer and fasting period on the fourth week. Our theme
for that week was “Make
Sacrifices to God.” We had
over 315 people
who signed up to fast and pray. Each prayer warrior was
given a Prayer Request Form requesting the names of ten
people for Shiloh to pray for during this campaign. Nearly
1,000 names have been submitted for prayer, and it continues
to grow. During our three day fasting period, God showed
us some things about ourselves. He showed some of us that
we needed work in some areas and showed others where they
were strong.
On the last night
of our fast, which happened to be on the night of our worship
service, we decided to have a prayer and anointing service.
We wanted to seal the prayers that went up during the fast.
Our ministers stood in front of the church while lines of
people came up for prayer and anointing. We cannot go without
saying that deliverance took place among God’s people.
This was the breakthrough point, which only makes things
better as we try to go to the next level, which is our purpose.
Praise God!
We look forward
to the outcome and expect great and mighty things! “Call
unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee
great and mighty things, which
thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3)
In His Service,
Minister Yolanda D. Giles
