Missionary Ministry
The mission of the Missionary
Ministry is to continuously seek to save sinful souls by spreading the Gospel
message of salvation through faith, in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Also,
to strengthen families by praying for them and with them and supporting the weak
and downtrodden. We do this by feeding the hungry, providing supplies for needy
children at a local elementary school, distributing tracts, visiting the sick
and shut in as well as the bereaved.
Our current projects include:
-
Making over 100 lunches for
the Carpenter’s Shelter for the homeless on a monthly basis.
-
Making Easter baskets
(usually at least 15) for the children at the Carpenter’s Shelter for the
homeless.
-
Providing school supplies to
an elementary school for children who may not have adequate supplies.
-
Providing peanut butter and
jelly to an elementary school for children who may have forgotten their
lunch or lunch money.
-
Sending out cards containing
words of encouragement or sympathy to the Shiloh Baptist Church family
members.
Our past projects include:
-
Sponsoring a church-wide
drive for household goods and clothing for abused & neglected children
at the Chi House, formerly located in Washington.
-
Sponsoring children to attend
a Youth Camp during the summer months.
If you have a heart to serve and
a desire to touch the community, please consider becoming a part of the
Missionary Ministry. For more information, please contact our President, Sis.
