New Member Ministry
About the Ministry
The New Member Ministry is the vehicle through which new members are introduced to the mission and ministry of Shiloh Baptist Church. New members are asked to complete New Member Orientation prior to receiving the Right Hand of Fellowship. During this orientation, new members are given an overview of the church’s history as well as its vision, mission, and value statements
. Moreover, members receive information about Shiloh’s leadership and structure, including our Constitution and Bylaws, Articles of Faith
, and Church Covenant
Goal of the New Member Orientation
The goal of New Member Orientation is to provide a general overview of our church with the hopes that each member will feel confident that they have made the right decision to join us. Furthermore, orientation is intended to assist new members in making proper decisions about ministry involvement. Following completion of New Member Orientation, members are eligible to participate in our New Life Service and receive the Right Hand of Fellowship. New Member Orientation is held on a monthly bases and New Life Service is held once each quarter.
New members will be contacted directly by the New Member Ministry about attending orientation. If you have any questions, please contact the Church Clerk Elaine Augustus at (703) 683-4573.
