Call to Action
Join us Sunday, December 4th and Sunday, December 11th for a second letter writing campaign after each worship service to express your disapproval of a restaurant at 1400 Duke Street. We are asking everyone, especially residents of the City of Alexandria, to write letters to the City Council. Our thoughts are that Planning Commission will approve the SUP. As a result, your letters to the Council are vital to our cause. You may address your letters to following persons:
Letters to City Council
Honorable Allison Silberberg and Members of Council
City of Alexandria
City Hall Room 2300
301 King Street
Alexandria, VA 22314
Additionally, you can express your concerns to be viewed by the public on the city’s website by clicking here.
Remember to join us December 6th at City Hall located at 301 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 at 7:00 p.m. for the Planning Commission hearing of the Special Use Permit (SUP) for the proposed restaurant at 1400 Duke Street.
Please click here to access the guide for speaking at the Planning Commission. This information is applicable to the City Council meeting as well.
If the Planning Commission approves the SUP, a Public Hearing will be held with the City Council on December 17th at 9:30 am at the same location. This is the meeting where we are hoping for a disapproval.
